The information is used only as a reference for future orders or in case you have a return or issue with the product. Our organic cotton is a true win-win for people and the planet. 

Organic cotton uses up to 95% less water than conventional cotton during the wash phase and does not contain harsh chemicals, bleaches, or dye. Conventional cotton often requires chemical-laden pesticides, this increases the farmers' debt burden and leaches into the land and water. Expressions By UV - organic clothing is not only super soft, you will never want to wear anything else, but your new clothing piece is also better for the environment, and it's better for the people who played a part in making it.

Kala cotton is a staple homegrown cotton. It usually grows in Kutch. It uses 90% less water than conventional cotton during the wash phase. It does not contain any harsh chemicals.Conventional cotton often requires heavy usage of chemical pesticides, which increases the debt burden on the farmers and leaches into the land and water. Kala Cotton was later harvested and hand woven by the villagers (mostly women) in their free time, creating sustainable income sources in our rural areas. So not only is Expressions By UV - kala cotton clothing is soft that you will never want to wear anything else, but your new clothing piece is also better for the environment and better for the people who played a part in making it.

When you purchase Fair Trade, you support better conditions for cotton farmers and workers. For each product sold, they earn a premium to invest in social development projects and fight poverty in their communities.

   We are not Fair Trade Certified though we believe in the same moral value. No matter where your Expressions By UV item is made, you can rest assured knowing that all our clothing is manufactured in safe facilities and is always sweatshop-free and child-labor-free.

We are deeply committed to making quality clothing with the lowest impact. So we decided to make all our products (apparel) locally as it has the lowest environmental footprints and creates sustainable income for rural communities. So 90% of your clothing is made in our Hometown – Pipariya. We view this as an opportunity to better the rural communities and help us to make an impact on rural lives. Our clothing will always be sweatshop-free and child-labor-free.

Natural dyes are used in India since the Harappa civilization. These dyes are obtained from plant-based sources, invertebrates, or minerals. The majority of natural dyes are vegetable dyes derived from plant sources such as roots, flowers, berries, barks, leaves, and wood. Commonly used natural dyes from us are – Himalayan Rhubarb, Catechu tree, Indigofera leaves, Madder roots, Myrobalan fruit, Pomegranate rind, and Teak leaf.

Natural dyes are different from modern and synthetic dyes. They do not pollute or create toxic waste in the same way. They are beautiful to the touch and are skin friendly as they do not contain hazardous chemicals. Like most worthwhile things, they require some care to maintain their beauty and increase longevity. Here is how you can ensure the longevity of natural dye clothing –

• Wash like colors together and different colors in different buckets.
• Wash in low temperatures – 30-40 degrees is advisable.
• Use PH-neutral natural detergents.
• Dry in the Shade.
• Hang them on wooden hangers.

We are deeply committed to making low-impact carbon-neutral fashion. Natural dyes have their restrictions when it comes to colors and effects. Sixty-five percent of Expressions by UV clothing are dyed naturally. Thirty-five percent of our clothes are dyed in low-impact Azo-free dyes. We are striving hard to achieve an 80:20 ratio by 2025.

• We recommend a cold-water wash for our products and a gentle wash with natural or soft detergents. Dark colors are to be hand wash in a separate bucket. 
• Do not rub and Dry in the Shade.  
• It saves energy and will ensure the longevity of your clothes.
